Richard Belzer, best known for playing Detective John Munch ("Homicide: Life on the Street", "Law & Order", "The X-Files"), was caricatured in the sketch "Law & Order: Special Letters Unit", had a cameo in "Elmopalooza", and presented the word "lazy" as the Word of the Day.
As far as I can tell, this is the only "Sesame Street" appearance to date from Brian Doyle-Murray, Bill Murray's older brother. Brian was a cast member on Saturday Night Live (1979-1982), appeared in many of his brother's movies, and was most recently seen on "Veep" (George Huntzinger) and "The Middle" (Mr. Ehlert) and heard on "SpongeBob SquarePants" (Flying Dutchman).
