I guess I promised a longer description so I'll try. I have wanted to edit with this song for years and I don't know, somehow this combo just came to me. It's not faithful to the anime or story or characters, but hey the clips worked.
I love lipsync. Still. Always. I love it. I could build all my videos around it. I love it.
I wanted to try to create a romantic atmosphere, even with the small humor bits. I wanted the plot twist to actually hit the audience (who don't know the song) and from what I've heard I've succeeded with most people. I remember the first time I heard this song and I just fell from my chair like did I hear that right? :D This was before I knew where the song was from, afterwards it made perfect sense.
I will probably be editing lots of other songs from the musical. Eventually. We'll see. They're quite challenging and long. :D Some of them anyway.
For people who want to join Japan Expo next year all I want to say is lower your expectations. Way low. I went there, and it was such a disappointment. Convention itself was good, but the way they do their AMV stuff is kind of embarrassing compared to the cons I've been to. I have no clue how the contest has such a good reputation honestly.
