With our partner Siemens Energy and their customer E.On, we have some of the best engineers in the world as our partners. By combining the engineering excellence on the customer side with our know-how on the additive manufacturing side, we realized demanding AM applications performing in serial production, now.

Turbomachinery is indispensable for energy generation. Its high-performance parts like burners, transition ducts, vanes, heat shields, blades, honeycombs or structural components all feature complex, high-tech designs that need to be robust and powerful. In addition, turbomachinery parts need to be resistant and reliable – even at temperatures beyond the melting point.

Metal 3D printing (DMLS) offers the right technological foundations for implementing an optimized cooling strategy and meeting the challenges to realize the vision of gas turbines operating fully flexible from 100% natural gas up to 100% hydrogen. Parts can be designed and improved, enabling the integration of highly efficient in-wall cooling systems. Innovative repair processes reduce costs and increase the sustainability of turbomachinery parts by building at worn areas directly on the original part.
