Sereer or Sere? I'm still not sure what the correct brand name is. Regardless, this is the HDV-501 (or HDV-5053STR?), an inexpensive new infrared night vision camcorder that tries awfully hard to look like a Sony Handycam. Its night vision performance is excellent, but it has no image stabilization and the sound quality of its microphone is absolutely terrible, with tinny, noisy audio that I had to turn up almost all the way when editing the video just so you can hear it!
