I don't know what to say - just... feels like such a dark day for humanity. Yet, so many celebrating, it's so baffling to me. I fear for my kids' futures, for women's rights... I fear for so much, but what more can I do now?

This morning, instead of doom-scrolling... I just got out of bed and hung out with my kids and played with them. I thought, there's not much I can do for the world, for my country, but I can be there for my kids, and show them that I love them and want to hang out with them. I think that's the best thing I can do, so that's what I did. I was pretty good with them all day about it.

If there's anything I'm trying to learn - it's to just put my stupid phone down, because whatever hell it is telling me, is not going to do anything for me.

$Misadventures | A DSI Prophet 12 and Fractal Audio FM3 ambient soundscape Yesterday my wife lost her job. I guess it surprised neither of us, although that didnt make it any less painful. Going through our list of things we need to cancel and stop, like daycare for our three year old. On the week of our wedding anniversary too, it just added that extra little sting. Shes always come back with something better, but I guess you sit and wonder whether this time there will be something, with all the job cuts in what feels like every sector, so many will be doing the same thing, in a time when the competitiveness was already overwhelming. DSI Prophet 12 soundscape III - What is there to feel

$Waves of Evermore | A 3rd Wave 8M soundscape I picked up a 3rd wave 8M in a trade (my Jupiter 6 and Poly Evolver for their Xpander, 3rd Wave, Chase bliss Thermae, and cash) and honestly didnt think Id like the 3rd wave very much, after having played the 24 voice desktop. Surprisingly, I am liking it more than I thought I would. Cant say I like the voice count at 8, especially if you can get the 24 voice for $2500 used... but its not too bad. I just notice the voices dropping off on the 8M in a way I dont with other 8 voice synths like the Prophet VS. I wonder why that is, apart from maybe the 8M having a much longer release stage to the envelopes, but otherwise I have no idea. Well, I do like it, sounds really nice actually.
