9/11 is a very special day in which we honor and remember the 2,977 victims killed during those horrendous terrorist attacks on America. Although I was only five months old at the time and don't remember it like others do, I still feel as though I was there and feel a deep sadness and connection to the footage. I produced this mournful track and compiled all the videos I could in order of occurrence as a tribute as we look 20 years back today at the tragic events that unfolded in Lower Manhattan on September 11, 2001. This is sort of my version of Owl City's January 28, 1986 (and Galaxies) in a way, remembering a disaster from my birth year. I created an intro with 911 calls from the deceased and live news commentary to start it off on an eerie note. We will always remember each and every soul taken that day in the towers, the planes, and on the ground. The occupants and workers of the World Trade Center's Twin Towers and the Pentagon; the passengers of American and United Airlines Flights 11, 175, 77, and 93; the first responders who ran in as everyone else ran out; the families and friends of these lives lost; the owners of the 18,000 small businesses obliterated; the over 6,000 injured. 09/11/2001 will live in infamy forever. The victims will all be remembered forever. I hope you enjoy this song and the video, and God bless you in the fullest.
