Not an awesome week. Gotta love doctor visits that go poorly. I won't go into it, but basically the doctor has been monitoring something and kept telling me not to worry - but now... it's different. Still, says not to worry, but I don't like the tone and the more rapid follow ups. I love how my first visit he reassured me how everything was fine, when I felt terrified. Then when I feel comfortable and unconcerned, he makes me feel worse. I swear the world just loves to mess with us humans.

Anyway, I didn't expect to record this tonight - but I wanted to get it out of the way to do some other things. I got a Cirklon 2 a few weeks ago and have been studying how to use it. I figured out a lot and honestly it's pretty cool. I expected not to like it, but I've got work arounds for things that I feel should work differently. And it is doing all the things I need it to do. I've never really used synths in multimode, but the cirklon makes it super easy. I've figured out all kinds of things (that funny enough, folks who have used it for years didn't use or didn't know how to use, but I know they didn't care about those features).

This isn't something special. This is just Track 4 of the 4 tracks I've written with this thing, and this seemed like the best one to showcase. So here it is, the first recorded track with the Cirklon 2 in my studio.

I knew something was wrong when, on Monday, she got up when I was standing in the hallway and she just looked off. Then she said Im dizzy. Every time she has a fever she wakes up dizzy. And so she has been sick. I wish I could have relaxed with her the whole time, but I was busy with work. Hopefully shell start feeling better soon. The Tooth Fairy did leave her a note, wishing her well, letting her know that someone had told her my daughter was sick. My daughter was so excited to know that one of her stuffed animals had talked with the Tooth Fairy at night to explain the situation. That was, probably, the highlight of the week. Just one of those memorable days that Ill cherish, with some things that I cant talk about, but other things that I can. I played some games with my youngest daughter while my wife picked up our older kid from school. When she came home, she asked me to pull out a loose tooth. I did - blood everywhere. The joy on her face when it came out, and the follow up pain and tears and Wow this is different was just exciting to watch. She is growing up and I love being such an integral part of that. It makes me so happy. Then, the three of us played board games for another hour or two while it rained outside. Honestly, there could not have been a better day.
