I am in love with how this set turned out! If you've been following me for a while now, you know I am obsessed with Sentimental Circus, and I was just delighted to find it in the contest helper. :D
I decided to make a set of clay pens for my entry. A Shappo themed one, and a Mouton themed one. Why? Because they're my two favourite characters (and pink+blue look great together)! ;D I mean, what could go wrong? ^O^
The pens are wrapped with polymer clay and then completely hand-painted over using acrylics. There is a coat of glaze to set the paint so it won't chip off (and it's super shiny! :D). The caps don't have clay on them, since I thought they would be too thick with it, so I just painted them and glazed it over.
For the grip part of the pen, I had to scrape it off since the shape warped a bit in the oven and so, I replaced it with tape so that it smooths out and the cap goes on nicely.
I originally made an earring+ring set of strawberries with the pen set, but I decided not to add it in the video since they're pretty dull compared to this set... Which is why you may see hints of them in the video! Of course, I will still send it over if I win! ^O^
