December marked the end of the last U.S. passenger airline to fly the “Queen of the Skies." Delta hosted a send-off, making stops in Detroit, Seattle, Atlanta and Minneapolis. Underneath the plane’s iconic and instantly recognizable design are the four PW4000 94-inch engines producing 52,000 to 62,000 pounds of thrust.
