How do I properly send an email or letter to a label or producer to get them to listen to your songs? - Luke (0:42)
I could be wrong, but it seems to me my musical strength resides in that what makes me weak as a human being: my suffering, my "pathos", which I try to convert in my music. Still, my sister, who happens to be my closest confident, says my lyrics lack a silver lining. She often feels like I'm asking for the listener to "cry with me" instead of learning something from my suffering. So my first question for you is: how to make my songs more joyful, more universal, more "bankable" I guess? - Ghali (3:48)
Secondly, I must admit I have trouble keeping a steady rhythm when I play music. Often I find myself, changing the tempo from the first chorus to the second, and never is the tempo similar when I play the song just a couple days apart. That's pretty bad, isn't it? How can I fix that? - Ghali (6:24)
Finally, I heard you say in one of your videos that every artist should be his own producer, otherwise he would never make it. My final question is: where do I acquire the knowledge of a sound engineer? I'm trying to use cubase but I'm having a hard time even doing the simplest things, let alone adding a drum line. - Ghali (10:24)
Do the notes you play have anything to do with an artist tapping into his song writing zone?cause on certain beats I tap in real fast and others i don't know how to begin writing?? how do I constantly start writing on any instrumental without hesitation? what's the key to this?? - ??? (12:19)
