Send automated emails using Node-RED and include information about entities and sensors from Home Assistant.

Lots of people still use emails in daily life and sometimes it might be a better choice than notifications or SMS.

You could use this for sending information to people who don't use all of your smart home apps but just need to know some key information like when your alarm was disarmed or perhaps if someone has left the fridge door open!

Create Google Account: google.com/account/about
Create App Password: myaccount.google.com/apppasswords

SMTP Settings for GMail:

SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Username: Complete Gmail address
SMTP Password: App password
SMTP port (SSL): 465
Use Secure Connection: Ticked
