Rock On Gallery - Sharon and Russell Costin was originally filmed for Colour in Your Life in 2011. In our flashback series "Field of Dreams", we are showcasing several artists from those early years whose episodes hadn't been shown on our Youtube Channel. We hope you enjoy, and look forward to seeing what the artists are up to now!
Sharon and Russell Costin have always had a love of nature, and are fortunate to live in the Caldera of the Mt Warning Volcano in NE NSW - Australia. After growing up in Brisbane they moved to their farm in 1977 and established a Native Plant Nursery which they still run today (Limpinwood Gardens Nursery). They have built up a large collection of Rocks & Minerals, especially Australian Thundereggs, colourful Jaspers, Agates, tiger eyes, tiger Irons and petrified wood.
During the last few years Russell has perfected a technique of macro-photography of the rocks and minerals, and with Sharon's Graphic Designs skills, have developed a niche business in reproducing these photographs as wall art. They also produce everyday items, using this artwork. Sharon does all the printing and manufacturing of their products in house at Limpinwood.
