The Robert A. McDonald Semester in London Fund sends the junior BFA Acting students to London every fall to study Shakespeare with some of England's top artists.

One of the pillars of the Drama Department's BFA actor-training program is the full semester that the students spend studying their craft in London during their junior year. While there, they work with some of the best acting teachers in the UK—including Shakespeare Performance with Ben Naylor of Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Voice and Text with world-renowned speech teacher Barbara Houseman (who coaches both Daniel Radcliffe and Jude Law for all their new roles). This enormously important program was created through the tireless administrative efforts of Professor Dale Rose and fully funded for five years through the generosity of Professor Emeritus Bob McDonald.
