With federal funding through the Canada-British Columbia Labour Market Development Agreement, the Kootenay Career Development Society and Selkirk College are holding a tuition-free carpentry training program. The one-year course will give 16 participants the opportunity to learn not only a new trade, but also additional skills to assist in gaining and keeping meaningful employment.
