So turns out, you can kill the brown ape by just spamming firecrackers.

Using Pacifying Agent allows you to completly facetank the scream and keep on attacking.

Divine Confetti is just a straight up damage increase.
Ako's Sugar/Ako's Spiritfall straight up increases the damage you do to Vitality and Posture, thus its extremly effective in combination with firecrackers to kill the brown ape quickly.

The Loaded Umbrella can completly block all the damage from the scream.

The Loaded Spear can be used after a successful deflect of the overhead attack to pull out the centipede and deal heavy posture damage to the headless ape.
