Don't waste your time with purple guy, the small amount of gold he drops isn't worth it.
These guys appear in the Hidden Forest in Ashina Depths which can be reached pretty early. They don't drop any gold or many items, but they can rarely drop Yashariku's Sugar which is actually hard to find at this point in the game.
