A funky track I made today! I realized quite quickly that this sound chip has a very narrow range in terms of what types of music you can make, mostly because the drum sounds are really quiet, and the instruments have a very soft sound to them. I especially realized this when I went out to find some examples of Japanese master system soundtracks, because a lot of it was in a similar genre.
Despite this, I’m really glad that they added this sound chip, because when I used to have a computer, I was working on a game project that was supposed to be in the style of a sega master system game, however I ran into an issue when the idea of making the soundtrack came up. I found that the stock master system’s sound chip was kinda difficult to make complex music for, so I considered redoing the game to be in a different style to make the music easier to make. But now I can just use this sound chip to make the soundtrack when I get back to that!
