What's involved in making a Sega Genesis reproduction game cartridge? We'll look at the full start-up cost for both basic cartridges and SRAM battery backup cartridges. What programmer to use, EPROM types and sizes, byte swapping the ROM, customs PCBs and shells. We'll be making PCBs from essentially scratch; therefore we do not need destroy/sacrifice a factory game to produce a new reproduction game. It's the right thing to do ;)
We'll also look at options and alternatives for cartridge shells.
The PCBs are open source , remix, order your own!
