Unlike the SNES port which closely resembles the Neo Geo title, the Genesis port focuses on a free for all one on one Kaiju wrestling fest, which includes the boss characters who are also selectable. A peculiar version which mirrors the prequel. The AI here is pretty cheap, spamming super moves and taking advantage cornering you without giving you much of a chance to fight back.
Although it is entertaining enough, it makes it feel like this would had been an extra mode in the options menu than being the central game, something which I would had preferred to add more replay value if only this version kept its original format.
