Hey there guys! (☞ﾟ∀ﾟ)☞
These are my first (and probably my last) parts for the SkypeEditorsGroup. It's also the end of the Billion Hits Contest, and I'm kinda sad it's already over, since that were only three rounds. As you probably know, I didn't make it among the winners, the best 10, which annoys me because I spent really a lot of time for this contest. And also because I sadly had to rush my part and some winners didn't even meet the deadline. But whatever. Being disappointed doesn't help, right? I'm editing for nine months now, and I got in the final round. I guess I can be proud of that.
The second part was for an IC with some SEG members. We had officially 24 hours time and after a month this Collab is finally out :D

Why cant I just go to bed on time for once?
This Amv is already several years old. Originally, it was meant as a promotional video for a studio that I was about to open, but eventually never did. It always bothered me that I didnt upload the video since I really liked it. For absolutely no reason at all, I decided at 4am today thatd Id change a few things, recycle this video - and finally upload it as an Amv. Please enjoy.

Been a while since my last Danganronpa edit, haha...
Boy, that was one hell of a ride.
Not least because I got sick while finishing up the part on Wednesday and kinda just dragged myself from editing on my laptop to the bathroom to throw up & back lolol
Gosh, I felt so awful that day. It was a real nightmare.
Sooo.... where do I start?
I mean, I kinda like the part how it is now. Even if its like, super duper pink...
Cant deny though that I wasnt struggling a bit with the theme and the short amount of time. Actually wanted to help out a studio I liked with a backup, but I guess in the end I did us both more bad than good lol
So when the leader kept on asking for more and more changes, which isnt exactly a bad thing per se (I was able to improve my part significantly because of it), I had to surrender after the 3rd time or so and rest. At some point, I could hardly sit upright any more and the day afterwards I slept for 14 hours straight. I handed over my files to the leader, she and another member of DespairStudios then played with the part until they were satisfied with it, you can see the final result when you click on this link (dont worry, its safe):

To be honest...
Im grateful for some changes, especially the addition of details in the middle and the white heart outline at the beginning (which wasnt there at first). It definitely made the end result more interesting. But there are as well changes in some parts that I personally think made the part much worse, especially concerning the overlays at the beginning, the bright colouring and the changes regarding the fonts. Also, I would have loved to keep the knife transition, but I can see why they replaced it.
Thats just my own opinion.
Overall, it was an interesting experience to work with DespairStudios and Im grateful for it. It was probably a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so the only regret is that I shouldve joined one of their darker MEPs instead, as Im more engrossed in them.
Also, I learned once more that I really have to work hard to become better at general movement / camera movement in my edits. Im always struggling with that, so if anyone can give me some advice on how to make flowy and fast movements in fx edits in Vegas, please do let me know.

Sooo uhhh I joined this years Ethereal IC. With my bad luck in contests I didnt think Id ever join one again but here we are. Honestly it was just a spontaneous thing and I didnt even think Id find a partner to join with. But luckily the goat @VanitasX introduced me to Coral Reef™️ and I couldnt be happier. Not only is he an absolute sweetheart, super easy to talk to and mega kind, hes also just an AMAZING editor. Like genuinely just check out his stuff its so good. Hes super creative and innovative when it comes to editing and I dont think Ive ever had this much fun doing a collab. Its been a blast thinking of a story and theme and everything. So obviously I tried really hard to make my contributions as good as I could in the little time we had. :)
Even though we had an entire week for our edit I struggled A LOT to get even a full minute done. Meanwhile Carl almost finished the first two parts during the first night, its I N S A N E. Like what kind of black magic is this, can somebody teach me? 🫠
Oh and Im still cackling over the fact that we listened to like 38 songs from the horror / psyche category and basically said: nah :DD
Obviously getting a good score would be nice but Im already happy just because I got to talking with Coral & Bryce through this. So ye, thanks again :)
