Come along and see what I see on a daily basis as an airline ramp agent. I highlight in this video everything from pushing aircraft, marshalling, bag running, unloading/loading cargo bins, wing walking and more!
I love my job as a ramp agent and very proud to work for this company. The fact that I'm around these planes everyday and work with a great group of people makes this an amazing job. I love going to work everyday to experience new challenges and I take pride in what I do.
Not included in this video is jobs like deicing, lavatory service, and provisioning just to name a few but important jobs.
People may think we are low life's and don't care about people bags, but most are far from that. I care for everyone's bags as my own and dispatch these planes like I have family on them. I use my amazing benefits to visit places I've always wanted to see and visit people I miss.
That fact is most ramp agents CARE! Its the few that don't that give us a bad name. So the next time you see a ramp agent or as other companies call them baggage handlers, don't think of them as low life's; most have families and we all work out in whatever weather nature throws at us to get your plane out on time.
And if you're someone like me and loves being around airplanes, try and get a job as a ramp agent. It's your ticket into these great companies where the possibilities are endless. I known I'm very happy where I am and look forward to where my career will go!
