Data center development may be paused for longer in Sedgwick County. Next week, commissioners are voting on extending it from Sept. 11 to Dec. 24 The pause has been in place since January as the planning department works to craft rules and regulations on data centers. Those could be released next month but commissioners want to make sure everyone understands them before they become law. The planning director wants to have the rules in place by February.
