📽️ Security agencies in the Rwenzori region have intensified security measures ahead of the burial of the late Omukama of Tooro, King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV. Police say security has been strengthened in Fort Portal and other parts of the region as preparations continue to receive the late King’s body.

Rwenzori West Regional Police spokesperson Vincent Twesige says security agencies are working with other stakeholders to ensure the burial ceremonies proceed peacefully. Special arrangements have also been put in place to manage traffic during the ceremonies.
