I worked in the industry for over two decades. It had always had its seedy side, connections to organised crime and drugs. Around 15 years ago things began to change pretty rapidly. I saw Albanian crime syndicates begin to move into the club scene and of course they did this by pushing the existing guys out. Much of this went unreported as the clubs wanted as little attention as possible and the press were frightened of anything that sounded right wing. Recently we have finally seen crime statistics based on ethnicity emerge. These stats in both the UK and Europe are forcing politicians to address the uncomfortable truth.
I discuss the factors which may in part explain the issue and I detail some of my own personal experience.
