The steel milling insert grade GC1130 is perfect when you need a solution for how to get secure machining with long and predictable tool life. It is initially available for shoulder milling and chamfering with CoroMill 390, CoroMill 490 and CoroMill 495.

Transcript:
The choice of insert is as important as the choice of tool because you have to see the whole
picture. The tool you choose, the insert geometry you have, the grade you have, your cutting
data, everything will contribute to your final performance of your tool.
Some are looking for repeatability and secure machining, being able to produce a certain number of components without risking changing the tool. This is something that GC1130 can
bring. Others want to increase productivity. We can also offer that, through longer tool life.
Zertivo technology is Sandvik Coromant's unique production technology of PVD grades.
We amplify the benefit of the grade. What you obtain at the end of the day is better adhesion of the coating on the substrate and better edge integrity. The coating in itself is designed to take height for abrupt chipping and also to offer the right level of wear resistance.
We had double tool life, much better security going from one component to two components without having to stop the production in the middle of one.
All those benefits, all this work within the development part has paid off, and has been confirmed by many different customers all over the world.
The application area for GC1130 - It's simply made for milling. General milling, in ISO P steel, wet and dry applications. It's especially suitable for shoulder milling, with small radial engagement and small diameters.
And what we aim for with the GC1130 is to bring the confidence and peace of mind which others cannot offer.
