In this journal entry I'll be taking a look at recovering files off of a corrupt microdrive. It turns out microdrives use a similar format that a floppy disk uses, 512 byte sectors chained together via a file allocation table. I'll compare recovering files from an IBM PC formatted floppy disk versus a QL microdrive cartridge using similar tools: BadCopy Pro for IBM and OPDEdit for Sinclair QL.
