this is dedicated to my friend barb aka the writer of "kraljevstvo zrcala i zvijeri" aka kingdom of mirrors and beasts duology. thanks for getting me invested in this mess lol
(this one focuses on the main couple of the story but hopefully i'll make a proper trailer in the near future)

in a kingdom where beasts roam the great forest and mirrors hold the fates' gaze, the only thing standing between a witch and the crown is lack of confidence and power. and klara had both in abundance.
ever since she was a young girl, klara was taught to face the world head on, shoulders straight and chin held high and sharp. she was the most beautiful of her sisters, and the most gifted.... and she always got what she wanted.
her power only grew as the years passed, securing her the position of the apprentince to the royal witch, and her thirst for knowledge remained ever unquenched. when she was eighteen, she gained the social status fates had denied her by birth; she became a duchess. her husband was one of the most powerful people in the kingdom, but he was old. and klara sought to rid herself of him as soon as the opportunity presented itself.
she did not expect to like the prince no more than she'd expect to sudenly grow another set of arms. but it happened. they became reluctant friends. then everything changed when he asked her to read his future. she did warn him.... once seen, the future is set in stone and trails behind you like a shadow, like a curse.
the prince did not heed her warning and so she read.

as long as you're beautiful, you can grant your heart's desire.
those were her mother's words, repeated again and again in the long hours of her childhood. and her mother was right. klara was the queen now, the most powerful person in the kingdom. and yet...
and yet.

- there is a karlo cameo in there bc i couldn't resist but he is gonna be the main subject of the next video!! (he has a connection to both klara and andrej)-

side notes:
- in this world, magic is passed down from mother to daughter. most women have an affinity for it but only a few posses genuine power, the kind that makes the mountains tremble and the seas roar.
- there are many covens in the kingdom but the one that presides over all of them is the royal coven, ruled by the royal witch who both acts as an advisor and defender of the monarch (and sometimes, a political foe).
- the society is matriarchal which is why the surnames are actually one's mother's name.
- the kingdom is divided into five dukedoms, controlled by five families who are decendents from the five witches of old.
- even though she is still an apprentice herself (which she'll be until ester either resigns or dies), klara takes greta under her wing. she has almost as much power as klara, as much potential. but due to STUFF happening, greta and klara become foes.
- prince andrej marries a princess from another kingdom which leaves klara, now a widow, infuriated. a few years after their daughter is born, the young queen dies....
