Today's Freaky Friday case is about Naryeli Cacharuco GuillĂŠn, a 15 year old girl from Venezuela whose tragic fate was served to her in an alleged act of witchcraft by her own best friend.
In December 2019 Naryeli and her best friend Stephanie spent a day at the beach, where Stephanie gifted Naryeli a friendship bracelet. Stephanie promised Naryeli it would keep her protected from evil. But what was supposed to be a gift of protection turned out to be a death sentence of evil. Unknown to Naryeli, the girls had been dating the same boy and these two best friends were actually in a manipulative, deadly love triangle.
On the 31st December Naryeli collapsed. Unable to get help from doctors, her family recorded a now viral video of Naryeli to show others how possessed by sickness sheâd become. After watching the video a Priest told the family that Naryeli was the victim of witchcraft.
For 11 days Naryeli was treated by spiritual healers, in an attempt to cleanse her from the evil that was killing her. But tragically time would run out and no power of good could save her.
In Venezuela itâs illegal to prosecute against religious rituals and at the time of Naryeliâs death, she didnât receive proper medical care. During a time of humanitarian crisis in Venezuela, things would only grow more complicated in Naryeliâs case. As allegations of abusive spiritual healing being the real reason behind her death began to emerge.
