Animation showing the geometry between the secret U.S.-government operated NROL-76 satellite and the International Space Station. The video runs from June 3 11 UTC through 16 UTC with a total of six close flybys between the two objects at distances of under 100 Kilometers. Closest approach was predicted at 14:01 UTC at a range of around 12 Kilometers.
It is not clear whether the close encounters are a coincidence or were deliberately set up.

This time lapse covers approximately 7,500 Kilometers from the east coast of Australia over a large stretch of the southern Pacific Ocean, looking toward the south pole.
