- Cleaning the existing concrete surface: Get rid of dust, debris, and any loose particles. Use a shop vac and a broom to clean thoroughly.
- Repairing any cracks or holes: Use a patching compound or concrete repair mix to fill in any gaps or imperfections.
Pouring and Levelling the Concrete
- Pouring the levelling compound: Be sure to follow the instructions on the packaging for mixing and pouring.
- Using a straight edge to check for level: Work in sections, checking for level with a straight edge after each pour.
- Allowing the concrete to cure: Give the concrete enough time to cure before you install your flooring.
