In September 2017 Puerto Rico was ravaged by Hurricane Maria. The destruction is everywhere. Trees are blown out, homes are destroyed, power lines are down. It's sad to see how rough it is.
We headed down to Puerto Rico for 11 days in celebration of Manon's birthday month. Our first stop is at the top of El Yunque - the only rainforest in the United States. In order to get to our accommodations we have to travel through downed trees, around huge boulders and past downed power lines. At the end of our journey we find a beautiful landscape and amazing swimming hole.
