Die of Death is a parody of the never-ending clones of asymmetrical retro-style horror games with weirdly-serious lore.
The game should not be taken seriously despite its lore as it is a joke game.
Die of Death is an asymmetrical retro-style horror game created by Saucefy10 to mock the current asymmetrical horror-type game genre, with inspiration by Forsaken and other similar games.
FORSAKEN, originally titled DAMNATION during early development, but renamed because it violated Roblox's Terms of Service. Forsaken is a Roblox asymmetrical survival horror game created and developed by the Forsaken Developer Cast. The game puts 8 Survivors against a Killer in rounds with timers. Survivors must complete objectives and fight back to stay alive, while the Killer must hunt and eliminate all Survivors before the timer runs out. FORSAKEN is inspired by a non-Roblox horror game Dead By Daylight and a Roblox horror game The Robloxia: Until Dawn. FORSAKEN so far has two chapters and more to come.

Badware is one of the 5 Killers in Die of Death. It is the second playable Killer in Die of Death, available in the shop for 500 , which makes it the cheapest purchasable Killer in Die of Death as of now.
Badware is a Killer primarily centered around buffing itself with its Firewall Bypass computers. It severely buffs Badware’s mobility and makes them a very tough threat if not dealt with accordingly.
Badware is a sentient computer virus driven by malicious purposes. Badware's physical vessel is a tall figure with a black ribcage t-shirt and coils in its mechanical body. It has 2 bent pipes on its back and a spring as a neck. Its screen displays an inverted c: face, as well as binary code in the background, with a set of green and red buttons to its right. The monitor is white with a grey base at the bottom. Badware's appearance is entirely robotic, having dark rectangular arms with grey hands, shoulder pads, coils, and metallic feet.
Badware is the slowest Killer in-game at a sprint speed of 23.
However, it can buff itself with its Firewall Bypass and Rift abilities.
Badware says "DANDELION" in morse code when they use the Firewall Bypass ability,
This likely doesn't mean anything to its lore, as it was found in the Creator Marketplace.
Badware was the second Killer added to the game, the first being Pursuer.
Badware's Bolt Sound when starting is a refrence to the sonic games.
Badware is most likely based off Roblox free models that, once inserted into your game, gives a "virus".
Badware has one of, if not the the highest skill ceiling in the game, due to their need for strategical computer planting and knowing when to rift.
Badware's chase theme was originally made for another Killer that was suggested.
Badware's chase theme is currently the oldest chase theme in the game.
Badware is the only Killer that can give Points to Civilians.
To get the Points, destroy Badware's computers.

Due to a bug, if Badware places a PC on the bridge that gets destroyed on Temple or the "ghost bridge", it will not be destroyed, and be impossible for Civilians to destroy.
If there are two Badwares in a Last Man Standing, a special theme will play, that being Y2K. This is a reference to the Y2K Incident, where it was believed that the transition between the years 1999 and 2000 would lead to potentially catastrophic issues with technology.
