i don't usually do long uploads like this on this channel but i love this album so much i wanted to make an exception. today this legendary record is 15 years old. i consider this my way of celebrating it! i'm not sure if ed banger have any plans to drop an official anniversary edition this year, so i wanted to have something here to hopefully introduce some fans of the album to some cool bonus tracks!
on "disc 2" you'll hear some sebastiAn rarities and fan remixes from over the years. the NEUS, JNATHYN and VITICZ remixes have all been played by seb at dj sets before, and the miike more refix of "la marseillaise" from his primary tour era is here in lieu of the original since we don't have a good quality version of that. otherwise, you'll hear bits & bobs seb made pre and around total that are less known but still bangers. and you know i had to put threnody at the end
of course, ideally i'd like there to be an official anniversary edition. today is the anniversary day and it hasn't happened yet, but there's still time for it to drop later in the year (this happened with justice's "cross" and breakbot's "by your side"). sebastiAn fans might already know the story revealed by ed banger manager busy p on facebook that total was originally going to be 45 tracks long, but they were removed because it would be too long of an album to sell, which is so crazy to hear... it's an understandable reason, especially at that time when they were counting on physicals more. but now i really think those 23 (!!!) extra tracks would make a perfect list of bonus tracks for an anniversary edition. it's an entire album's length of unreleased tracks...! they're already fully made, streaming allows for a much higher length limit, and chances are we've already heard some of them as IDs played at sebastiAn's primary tour. sebastiAn himself even said during a reddit AMA years back that he'd like those tracks to get a release. so, as you can probably tell, i've been praying for something like that for a long time now, lol. i just really love the sound of this album so much. if anyone seeing this somehow knows busy p, tell him to please consider it! thank you
