Now in its 8th year, SeaWees is a Pacific Whale Foundation program for children ages 3-5. The SeaWees program features developmentally appropriate early-childhood practice including music/movement, demonstrations and guided exploration delivered in a child-centered environment. Our session from November 7 to December 5, 2012 is based on the theme of "Jiggling Jellies." We're exploring the answer to the question: "When is a 'fish' not a fish, but instead is a member of the phylum cnidaria -- as are the corals? (Answer: When it's a jelly fish!) During our November 7th program, we used our hands for the bell and fingers as tentacles while we learned about polyp and medussa forms for cnidarian.
