NEW: Cops say a 50-year-old man living at the Cambridge Apartments used a hatchet/knife to attack another man in Seattle's First Hill neighborhood.
The 34-year old victim is dealing with a serious laceration to his neck and is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. What led up to all this remains unclear.
The knife was approximately 12 inches long with a 7-inch blade” according to the police report.
Officers booked the suspect into King County Jail for Assault 1st Degree.
