With this piano tutorial & sheet music, you can play "Seasons of Love" on the piano!
It's an accurate, carefully created piano arrangement of the famous song from the Broadway musical "Rent".
Written and composed by Jonathan Larson, the musical (which is loosely based on Puccini's opera "La bohème") portrays the bohemian lifestyle of young artists in Manhattan's East Village, struggling to build a life in the face of poverty, drug addiction, and HIV/AIDS.
The show won numerous awards (including a Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award for Best Musical) and became one of the longest-running shows on Broadway.
"Seasons of Love", a powerful song about the meaning of love and friendship, became the most popular song from the show, and was featured in TV series such as "Glee" and "The Office".
Thanks to the song, fans of the musical will never forget the exact length of a year: "Five hundred twenty-five thousand, six hundred minutes..."
Needless to say, "Seasons of Love" makes for a fantastic piano version!
