Medaka (Japanese Ricefish) Oryzias latipes, may be the best pet fish! They are extremely hardy, stay small, breed easily (but not too easily) come in an astonishing variety of colors and patterns, and can survive cold weather, warm weather, and everything in between!

We are trying a variety of plants in our Medaka tubs too.
