It's been around 9 weeks since our previous video where Mandy had just had surgery to remove an infection that had caused sepsis after just completing her cancer treatment.
We had to move campsite due to the previous campsite having to close due to the only access road closing for 2 weeks to be resurfaced, so we moved the Spitfire Park Campsite - which we highly recommend spitfirepark.com
Mandys recovery was estimated to be 10 to 12 weeks and to start with it took a few weeks until she was able to walk for more than a few minutes, but she took things slowly and each day we tried that little bit more until after a month she was walking more and was far more stable on her feet.
With the help of renewed confidence in her health and the arrival of our friends, Jon & Tash from @lifebeyondbricks as well as Darran from @TheUrbanMotorhome, Mandys recovery has been remarkable and in just 10 weeks she's walking and driving again.
There's still a long way to go until she's back to the fitness levels pre cancer & sepsis, however, were working on that each day in order to get back to doing what we started this channel for in the first place, the love of travel.
Mandy has some hospital appointments in the next 2 months to see how the cancer treatment, and sepsis recovery, is looking.
