At Anime Las Vegas 2026, Goku voice actor Sean Schemmel was asked what he would tell his 10-year-old self. Schemmel replied, "George Lucas is going to ruin Star Wars for you."

Schemmel looks back fondly at his first experience watching A New Hope, and criticized that Special Edition changes: Han shooting first, replacing Sebastian Shaw with Hayden Christensen, and Luke's role in The Last Jedi.
