Somehow Maniac Mansion was a TV show of which Sean has no clear memory (it's even advertised on the cover!), but it all started with a LucasArts game by Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick. We love LucasArts, and but have sorely overlooked Ron Gilbert's earlier work ever since playing and finishing the excellent Thimbleweed Park.
So, when Sean found a copy for NES at Midwest Gaming Classic in 2019, he jumped on the chance to buy it. And then we streamed it once two years later, only to get stuck at a point where we had to start over the whole game -- and didn't have a save state to go back to! Now two more years have passed, and it's time to give it another go.

SeanOrange is a retro game fan from the US. Vinnk is a retro import fan who took things one step further and moved to Japan. Together they make Famicom Dojo: a web series dedicated exploring the Japanese history of video games and consoles from the other side of the Pacific.
