UI5 applications are rarely standalone applications without external dependencies. Libraries, controls, components, or external third-party libraries are utilized. Along with the use of TypeScript, middleware, or other custom steps, the development environment quickly becomes complex and cluttered. When backend development with CAP is also involved, it becomes difficult to manage all dependencies and to have a good development environment.
Fortunately, a lot has happened in this area over the last year, making development easier for developers. New open-source tools have emerged that simply support developers in managing dependencies easily and quickly and in developing libraries/components/UI5 apps.
In this talk, we will introduce the latest tools and technologies that simplify and accelerate the development of UI5 applications.
Using a realistic scenario, we will show the setup of a project with UI5 apps libraries and a CAP backend, and how developers are supported in this process.
