The blood of the covenant seals God’s unbreakable promise. It secures forgiveness, grants access to His presence, brings freedom, and affirms our identity in Him. Jesus’ offering of Himself on the Cross provides us with a blueprint of obedience to the Father. He was willing to suffer, fixing His eyes on the joy set before Him. We, too, can respond in the same way by fixing our eyes on Him.
"Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." —Hebrews 12:2
