On this episode, Coyote visits Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula to meet up with friend Laura Exley to celebrate conservation with a community sea turtle festival! Get ready to watch Laura's team of sea turtle conservationists release hundreds of the cutest baby olive ridley sea turtles into the ocean.
Originally from the UK, Laura helped launch COPROT in Costa Rica - a community-driven project that aims to conserve sea turtle nesting beach habitat, protecting 8 km of beach where they register over 7000 nests per season from the olive ridley and Pacific green sea turtle species.
After the turtle release, we've shared part of a conversation that wildlife biologist Mario Aldecoa had with Laura for their episode of Global Guardians, a Brave Wilderness podcast highlighting frontline conservationists and discussing what it takes to film wildlife content.
