OpenTTD: A free, open-source business simulation game where players earn money by transporting passengers and freight via road, rail, water, and air. It's an enhanced remake of the 1995 game Transport Tycoon Deluxe, featuring expanded maps, multiple languages, custom AI, downloadable customizations, and ports for various operating systems. OpenTTD supports LAN and Internet multiplayer for up to 255 players and has a user-friendly interface. It is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2.0 and is continuously developed. Notably, it ranked 8th in activity among 61,154 open-source projects on SourceForge between 1999 and 2005 and moved its development to GitHub in 2018.
