---------------
Sailing 'cross the seas
Has always been my life
International trade
No family nor wife
Yet now I cannot bare
The water in my sight
For memory of the horror
I saw that darkest night
Monolith raised in stone
Ancient markings carved upon
Depicting horrors best unknown
Children of the ancient one
What is this place
This putrid shore
Despite my mounting horror
I feel compelled to find out more
Monolith raised in stone
Ancient markings carved upon
Depicting horrors best unknown
Children of the ancient one
My trek draws on for hours
Towards the island's peak
With horror I finally behold
That I so fervently seek
Lost since ancient times
Depicting things long dead
Unspeakable aquatic terrors
Ever since then they fill my head
And then, worst horror of all,
Emerging from the sea
Grotesque and twisted, yet human in form,
Turned its eye upon me
I turned and fled with all haste
Mayhap I'd die at sea
Better that than suffer the
Abomination to be near me
