At SDCC 2026, I gave myself 48 hours to fill one blank Transformers comic with sketches from emerging artists. The artists chose the Transformer, set their own price, and could keep my only comic if they needed more time. Could I complete the challenge before San Diego Comic-Con closed?
Join me inside San Diego Comic-Con 2026 as I search Artist Alley, revisit the Hasbro Transformers display, meet talented rising artists, and discover how difficult this challenge really was.
But there were rules.
The artists couldn't have published work with the major comic publishers. They had to willingly take on the challenge. They chose the Transformer. They set the price. No haggling.
And if an artist needed more time?
I might have to leave the only book I had behind.
This isn't your typical San Diego Comic-Con vlog. It's part scavenger hunt, part art challenge, part Transformers adventure, and a chance to discover some incredibly talented artists working their way up through the comic world.
One book.
Two days.
A convention packed with people.
And no idea how many sketches I'd actually be able to get before my 48 hours ran out.
