The sculpting of Master Yoda for Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace caused much debate...and still perhaps does to this very day. In this interview with Darryl James, sculptor Gary Pollard explains how the correct look for Yoda got 'lost in translation,' as it went through various departments. Gary also shares his view on his creation being digitally replaced by a digital (CGI) Yoda. We find out if he sculpted Master Yaddle as well, plus DJ asks if Yoda and Yaddle are Grogu's parents.
Neimoidians were an integral part of the sequel trilogy and many iterations of them were beautifully sculpted by Gary Pollard. It was the sculptor's favorite creation to work on and Pollard chats about the process with DJ for Star Wars 100 Interviews.
