Gnomon BFA student Stacey Kim created The Forest Guardian in our Creature Creation and Demo Reel 2 courses. The piece imagines an ancient protector of the forest in the form of a tiger-man hybrid. Stacey explained how Korean Shamanism inspired the piece:
"I took elements like beaded necklace, Geumjul (ę¸ě¤), which is a rope put up to ward off evil spirits, & Obangsaek (ě¤ë°Šě), which is the color scheme of the five Korean traditional colors."
