My first draft / idea for this track was to have it be much more dark and brooding. But the more I worked on it the more melodic it became, culminating at the end with an expansive piano melody. That’s always something that I enjoy about this process. When I don’t stick to my original intentions for songs, they sometimes still end up in really interesting places.
