Firefly Aerospace is the next private rocket company that aims to achieve orbit with its second launch attempt of their brand new Alpha launch vehicle. Alpha will lift off from Vandenberg Space Force Base, USA, and targets a 300 km low Earth orbit (LEO), in which it will deploy multiple payloads. On board of the FLTA002 To The Black mission will be multiple CubeSats and PicoSats, with most of them being copies of satellites that were lost during the failure of Firefly’s FLTA001 DREAM launch.

SpaceX will be attempting a 12.5-kilometer hop with their Starship SN8 prototype vehicle. SN8 will lift off under the power of its three Raptor engines and fly to an altitude of approximately 12.5 km (~41,000 ft). At that altitude, using its body flaps, SN8 will flip to a horizontal position and descend belly-first.
Just prior to landing, using a combination of its engines and body flaps, SN8 will flip around again to attempt a soft propulsive landing.

NASA is set to launch the Orion spacecraft to a distant retrograde lunar orbit atop the Space Launch System (SLS) for its maiden launch known as Artemis 1. Launching from Launch Complex 39B, at the Kennedy Space Center, in Florida, the Artemis I mission will certify both Orion and the SLS Block 1 rocket for crewed spaceflight; its next mission–aptly named Artemis II–will be crewed, and bring a yet-announced crew to lunar orbit (but will not land on the lunar surface). #artemis1
